Hydrotherapy is the use of warm water and massage to help the body relax. A hot tub combines three things: warmth, buoyancy that takes weight off joints, and jets that massage muscles.
How people use it
- A short soak after exercise or a long day to unwind.
- An evening routine to relax before bed.
- Time with family or friends, away from screens.
Making the most of a soak
- Choose a comfortable temperature; many people prefer slightly lower temperatures for longer soaks.
- Keep sessions to a comfortable length, and step out if you feel overheated.
- Try different seats: jet layouts vary, and each seat targets different areas.
- Drink water before and after.
Tip
Hot tub water should not exceed 104°F. If you are pregnant or have a heart condition, high blood pressure, or other health concerns, talk with your doctor before using a hot tub.
Every Sundance® model has a different seat and jet layout. Compare them on our hot tubs page, or use the Hot Tub Finder to narrow the choice.
